Archiving a Proof

Introduction to archiving proofs

Proofs that have not been opened for 30 days will automatically be archived. You can manually archive proofs before 30 days if you wish.

You can only archive proofs on which you have edit rights. However, anyone can unarchive a proof (including reviewers who are not users of ProofHQ).

Archived proofs:
  • Will only appear in the Archived proofs view of the Views page
  • Will remain in your account indefinitely (unless they are deleted)
  • Can be unarchived at any time
  • Do count towards your storage limit (if you'd like to free up some storage see backups)
NB: Files cannot be archived - only proofs.

Archiving proofs manually

To archive one or more of your proofs:
  1. Go to any list view page, e.g. Views
  2. Select the tick box of each proof you want to archive
  3. Click More actions in the header menu
  4. Choose Archive from the drop down menu

NB: It can take up to 24 hours for the archiving process to be completed.

How to tell if a proof has been archived

If a proof has been archived:
  • It will appear in the Archived proofs view of the Views page
  • The Proof Details page will show an archived notification at the top of the page and include an entry in the Activity section
NB: To open an archived proof, you must first unarchive it.
